Stop 0x0000000A or IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

The Stop 0xA message indicates that a kernel-mode process or driver attempted to access a memory location to which it did not have permission, or at a kernel interrupt request level (IRQL) that was too high. A kernel-mode process can access only other processes that have an IRQL lower than, or equal to, its own. This Stop message is typically due to faulty or incompatible hardware or software. Recordable DVD standards is a very confusing subject for so many people because there are so many standards, logos, and specifications. In this post I will try to give a brief description and history of the various DVD standards on the market today. The history of recordable DVD (Digital Versatile Disc) drives has been a troubled one. It dates back to 1997, when the DVD Forum announced specifications for rewritable and recordable DVD: DVD-RAM, DVD-R, and DVD-RW. Dissatisfied with these standards, the industry leaders in optical recording and drives formed their own group called the DVD+RW Alliance and created another standard–DVD+R and DVD+RW. For several years, drives based on one family of standards could not freely interchange media with drives using the other family of standards.
